Infrastructure covers a broad spectrum of intertwining areas that are fundamental to the economic and social development of the country. MININFRA is working hard both within its subsectors and in conjunction with other ministries, stakeholders, development partners, NGOs and the private sector to achieve the goals as described in the EDPRS and Vision 2020.

As we near the end of the EDPRS period and enter a new decade, we are now looking towards future strategic goals for infrastructure and how best to support the continued and sustainable growth of the economy.

With an emphasis on planning, communication and transparency, MININFRA is a place for action over rhetoric. Rwanda’s progress since 1994 has gained international recognition and respect. In order to ensure sustained progress, it is important to emphasise thorough planning and implementation so as to rapidly facilitate total socio-economic transformation as stated in the country’s Vision 2020.
